     One afternoon, during some free time at KashkaSu, we went up into the higher mountain areas and came across a shepherd on horseback working with his flock of 300 sheep and goats. His name is Mursat and we had the opportunity to speak with him for several minutes. He was very surprised to meet people from other countries way up in his mountain pasture area! When we asked him if we could take some photos of his sheep, he asked, "Don't you have sheep where you live?"
After our time at KashkaSu, we went to Bishkek.

 During the day on Monday, May 5, it was a holiday and many people were out and about celebrating the Kyrgyzstan Constitution Day. Some friends in  Bishkek showed us the main sights: The White House, the Parliament, Victory Square, and other locations. While out and about, we took photos of people and sights on the street.

Our journey by hired car back to Almaty took us through some beautiful countryside along the front range of the mountains where a huge statue of a Kazakh warrior on his horse stands. I
